Meet The Author
James Marzolf, the author of this revolutionary science-fiction series, is an elusive polymath shaped by seven decades of life across multiple continents. Multilingual and intensely private, he brings a perspective forged through experience rather than theory.
An eclectic scholar of medicine, genetics, archaeology, and emerging technologies, his career has spanned international policy work, tropical medicine in austere environments, and field assignments far from institutional safety nets. He has been “accidentally” present for numerous notable events, such as the Jones Town Massacre, the 1999 East Timor crisis, the fall of the Suharto regime, the Shah of Iran’s exile in Panama 1979, etc.

Outside academia and medicine, his interests include flying, equitation, martial arts, hunting, and scuba diving, disciplines that inform the physical realism and tactical precision of his fiction. He now lives in semi-seclusion in the woods, guided by a simple rule: if you can see the cabin, you’re trespassing. From self-imposed solitude, he writes of worlds where evolution, power, and survival collide—because he has seen firsthand how fragile civilization truly is.
